Demand for water, an essential resource, is rising rapidly. Yet, we don’t realize the value of it.
Suriyur is a remote village in Tiruchchirapalli District which is presently facing a domestic water crisis.
We evaluatde water usage in Suriyur using primary data through remote sensing and GIS (Geographic Information Systems). This study assesses the water used for the domestic purposes and suggests ways for sustainable water use to avoid future crises.
