Language is very important in our lives. India is a diverse multi-lingual country.
Migrations from one region to another has led to language problem among people. For example, Hindi is widely spoken among people from Northern parts of India, but most of the people residing in the Southern parts of India do not speak Hindi and have their own regional languages.
This makes it difficult for them to communicate with each other. Most people confine their language learning to their mother tongue. Many problems have to be faced by a foreigner or person unfamiliar with the regional language especially when it comes to the usage of public transportation.
Even in our own school, there are teachers who struggle with students who know only one language not familiar to the teacher.
We intend to conduct our research by interviewing different people and observations to find out about the difficulties people in Chandapura and in our school face on this issue.
