
Amrtavarshinī is She who rains ambrosia. Śrī Muttusvami Dikshita (1775–1835) composed this beautiful prayer to the Goddess Bhavānī, praying for rains. He set song in the rāga Amrtavarshinī and punned on the word to also name the Goddess. Take a listen here (7 min 25 sec):
