Transportation and pollution in and around Army Public School, Bengaluru

Staff and students of our school commute by army buses, four-wheelers, or two-wheelers. These many vehicles causes traffic congestion and air pollution around our school.

We tried to convince our commuters to carpool (staff), and bicycles (students Class 6 and above), and thus, help reduce the congestion and air pollution around our school.

To encourage students to use bicycles, we also approached Bengaluru’s Mayor and asked that the footpaths be made bicycle-friendly, and make the roads also safer. She was supportive and suggested that we approach our local corporator, which we intend to do.
