All across the world, thousands of empty plastic bottles are being disposed inappropriately everyday! PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate), such as Kinley, Aquafina and QUĀ plastic bottles takes thousands of years to degrade.
Instead of throwing them away, why not use repurpose them?
The possibilities are endless with what you could do with plastic. The theme of this conference got us thinking about how we can be responsible citizen geographers.
We decided to collect plastic bottles and turn them into DIY (Do It Yourself) crafts, because we realised that everyone benefits when we keep our surroundings clean.
A few ideas on how we have repurposed plastic is by making bird feeders, piggy banks, pencil cases…
Come to our activity stall, learn about the harmful effects of plastic.
But more importantly, come by and make your own bird feeders, piggy banks, pencil cases, and be a Citizen Geographer!
